August 16, 2020: Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time

We are told to knock, and the door will be opened; to ask, and we shall receive. Yet we are often confronted with what appears to be God’s resounding silence in response to our prayers and pleas. In this week’s homily, Fr. Eric outlines how Christ’s interaction with the Canaanite woman in the Gospel gives us a model of prayer, perseverance, and trust in God’s will.

On Sundays, our church doors remain open for private prayer after Mass until 6 pm. If you choose to make a Sunday visit to our Lord, please practice responsible social distancing.

Please consider donating to St. Francis de Sales Parish. In the absence of a Sunday collection, we rely on your contributions to provide service to our community.
